It turns out that customers in the insurance industry are highly satisfied with the current state of auto insurance broker systems that are largely accessible over the web. These days, what used to require a live agent or broker, a customer can do for himself, via the web.

The web based auto insurance broker system allows for a customer to go from shopping through quotes to actually printing out his or her proof of insurance in a matter of some 15 to 30 some odd minutes. A relatively short time, compared to what this process used to take decades ago. In the past, drivers were restricted and confined to the brokers and agents in their locale. Beyond that, phone directories would've been needed, and this was during a time when phone metering was the norm, and flat rate calling, even from land line to land line wasn't yet in vogue.
