Some speakers  open their   groom wedding speeches with wedding speech joke or two in order to lighten up the mood and ease up   the tension in the room. You can do this too if you want. You can also play  a joke on the bride and groom but not too much that could lead to    embarrassment. Just a simple, lighthearted, and clean joke is enough to brighten up the smiles of the guests is enough for an opening.
